MFAH: "American Made" Pt. 2

Designed by Clara Driscoll, Dragonfly Hanging Lamp, c. 1906, stained glass, lead, and bronze

August 21, 2012

We bring you part two in our series of interviews about the major exhibition American Made: 250 Years of American Art at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. Curators Emily Ballew Neff and Christine Gervais show us some of the 19th Century objects on display, including a complete set of John James Audubon’s legendary nature-paintings The Birds of America, and a striking example of Tiffany glass that was NOT designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany (even though he put his name on it).
