Houston Fringe Festival 2012: Week 1

Cast members of Houston Burlesque Revue's "Under the Flannel Sheets"

August 30, 2012

Artist-performers representing three different local groups join us to talk about the cutting-edge pieces they’ll present on the first weekend of the 2012 Houston Fringe Festival.  Jim Tommaney, artistic director of Edge Theatre Company, describes his short, post-9/11 plays, Best Served Cold and The Galileo Prize; playwright Eric Jones and composer Alex Winkler introduce us to their original musical Liberators!; and we meet Lady Jae of the Houston Burlesque Revue.  She and her lovely colleagues will be unveiling – literally! – their new '90s-themed show, Under the Flannel Sheets.
