Artistic director Michael Zuraw talks about, and pianist Kimi Kawashima plays some of, John Cage’s Sonatas and Interludes for Prepared Piano. Kawashima’s studio appearance is a preview of her Sunday evening performance of the entire set of those groundbreaking pieces, as the Aperio: Music of the Americas concert series celebrates the 100th anniversary of John Cage’s birth.
